My business is really taking off - it is so exciting. I was a bit worried about starting a new business in the recession but as I had lost my job and needed an income, I decided that I would risk it and it has really paid off. I am now, having to invest in new systems to make things run more efficiently as my cost cutting when I started out has proved to not be able to cope with my demand. I am looking in to Retail POS systems at the moment and seeing which is likely to suit my needs the best. I am also hoping to do POS online and so have a lot to think about when I am selecting a system as I would like it to do both as that will mean that I will not have to learn so much and I am hoping it might work out cheaper. I also need some sort of mail order manager and to be honest all of the technology scares me, which is why I kept it all simple to start with. I now realise that if I want to give my customers the opportunity to buy from me, I need to give them all the necessary facilities to do so and this may end up meaning that I have to go up a steep learning curve.
